Why should I pay for the Pro version when I can get the Toolkit for free?
The public version of the toolkit includes everything you could need to manipulate your device. None of the main functions are restricted.
The main reason for donating to the Toolkit project is simple. As a thank you for making a full featured and helpful program to let you do whatever you want with your device.
Activating the professional version adds one of the most useful functions in the toolkit, the ability to check for Auto Updates directly via the toolkit and have them pushed to your pc right away as soon as they are uploaded without needing to download the whole toolkit every time. You will always have the latest version as soon as it is made available. This means smaller updates can be sent out more frequently, such as adding a single function, fixing a bug or adding compatibility for a single carrier. Even support for new devices can be added via Auto Update. Updates are compiled and released to the community as a full [public] download version so professional versions are always updated sooner.
Once activated the Toolkit will automatically check [after the model/build selection] if newer versions of superuser [root] from chainfire and clockworkmod are available and download if found so you will always have the latest support and newest features for your device. The Toolkit will also check if newer versions of custom recovery [cwm, twrp and philz_touch] are available so you can easily keep up to date without having to hunt around sites and download manually. This update feature is not available in the public version and you will have to download a new full version of the Toolkit [when available] to get the latest files.
The Quick Picks section allows you to program upto 10 slots with tasks that you may perform on a regular basis or just want to keep a set of tasks in 1 place. Just select the slot and it will remember all your settings for that task and run it.
There are a lot of benefits of upgrading to the pro version so if you use the Toolkit and find it useful please consider making a donation.
Activation codes are per device and do not unlock the pro version of every device in the Toolkit. A code can be exchanged for a different device within 6 weeks but after that period a new code will need to be purchased if you change devices.
Auto reply donation links for paypal [and alternative payment methods when they become available] to get a code quickly can be found at http://goo.gl/nyGqv
Auto updates are by far the easiest way to keep the toolkit up to date as there are a lot of devices to look after. If anyone does not agree with having to donate to receive an activation code or has any views on this please do not post in open forums as it disrupts the thread. Email firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will reply to your email as soon as possible.
